CHARLOTTESVILLE, Va. – The Virginia baseball team plays host to Georgetown at 4 p.m. Tuesday in a midweek game at Davenport Field. Gates open at 3 p.m.

The Tuesday game is another $2 Tuesday at Davenport Field. ‘Hoo Dogs and Pepsi soft drinks are available at every Tuesday home game for $2 each. Hot chocolate and coffee also will be free while supplies last.
Virginia-Georgetown Series
Virginia leads the all-time series with Georgetown, 19-16. This marks the schools’ first matchup since April 12, 2011, a 4-0 UVa win in a rain-shortened game that lasted only five innings. UVa has won the last five meetings, including all four games during Brian O’Connor‘s tenure. Georgetown’s last win against UVa came nearly 27 years ago to the day – March 23, 1987, a 7-6 win in Charlottesville.
Noting Georgetown
Georgetown is 8-10 this season after dropping two of three games in its home weekend series against Brown. Nick Collins leads the team with a .333 batting average and 25 hits, while Chas Bushor has driven in a team-high 15 runs. Georgetown is batting .281 as a team and has a 3.98 team ERA.
