CHARLOTTESVILLE, Va.–Two members of the Virginia men’s swimming and diving team are set to begin the NCAA Championships Thursday (March 26) at the University of Iowa’s Campus Recreation and Wellness Center in Iowa City, Iowa. The national meet runs Thursday-Saturday (March 26-28).

Prelims for swimming are set to begin at 12 p.m. Eastern each day, with finals at 8 p.m. Diving each day begins at 2:45 p.m. Links for live results and live video will be available at VirginiaSports.com. ESPN3 will broadcast the finals of Friday and Saturday.

Senior diver JB Kolod (Pittsburgh, Pa.) and junior swimmer Yannick Kaeser (Mumpf, Switzerland) will represent the Cavaliers. Kolod will be competing on the 1-meter springboards Thursday, 3-meter springboards Friday and on platform Saturday. Kaeser will be racing in the 100 breast Friday and the 200 breast Saturday.

Kolod is competing at the NCAA Championships for the third time. He is a three-time All-American and posted the Cavaliers’ highest diving NCAA finish ever, seventh on 3-meter in 2014. He also placed 10th on platform in 2014 and 12th on 3-meter in 2013, earning honorable mention All-America honors.

Kaeser earned honorable mention All-America honors in 2014, placing 16th in the 200 breast. He broke the school record in the 100 breast (52.47) and 200 breast (1:53.71) at the Georgia Fall Invitational in December.
