CHARLOTTESVILLE – The Virginia men’s and women’s track & field teams return to action on Friday with athletes competing at the Fred Hardy Invitational at the University of Richmond. The Cavaliers will send a collection of throwers, jumpers and hurdlers to the meet on Friday.
Action begins at Robins Stadium beginning at noon. Live results of the meet will be available on richmondspiders.com.
The Cavalier men will have six athletes in action, including freshman James Williams (Radford, Va.) in both the hammer throw and shot put. Fellow first-year throwers Kevin Roddy (Duncan, Okla.) and Anthony Bouselli (Hawley, Pa.) will compete in the shot put and javelin, respectively. Chris Rogers (Midlothian, Va.) will be in action in the triple jump, while David Bartha (Bonyhad, Hungary) and Devin Brewer (Dumfries, Va.) will both compete in the 400m hurdles.
Three Cavalier women will compete on Friday. Christine Bohan (Avon Lake, Ohio) is entered in both the hammer throw and shot put. She is joined is the shot put by Carter Green (Ashland, Pa.) and Holly Sullivan (Chester Springs, Pa.) will compete in the 400m hurdles.
The full men’s and women’s teams will travel to California next week for the annual tri-meet with Cal and Michigan on April 4 in Berkeley. The night before, Zach Herriott (Kansas City, Mo.) will be competing in the 10K at the Stanford Invitational.
