CHARLOTTESVILLE, Va. – No. 9 Virginia hosts No. 63 Boston College in ACC women’s tennis action on Wednesday (April 1) at Snyder Tennis Center. First serve is set for 4 p.m.
The Cavaliers (13-4, 6-2 ACC) were originally scheduled to play the Eagles (11-7, 5-3 ACC) on Feb. 22, but the match was postponed due to travel issues for Boston College.
Virginia is coming off an impressive 7-0 win over Wake Forest on March 29. Julia Elbaba (Oyster Bay, N.Y.), Danielle Collins (St. Petersburg, Fla.), Stephanie Nauta (Galveston, Texas), Skylar Morton (Bethesda, Md.), Maci Epstein (Winter Park, Fla.) and Marie Faure (Toulouse, France) each recorded singles wins against the Demon Deacons. The doubles tandems of Elbaba and Cassie Mercer (Huntington, W.Va.) and Collins and Morton also posted wins.
In the ITA singles rankings, Elbaba is ranked No. 3, Collins is ranked No. 31 and Nauta is ranked No. 34. Mercer and Morton are ranked No. 27 in doubles.
The Cavaliers are 17-0 all-time against Boston College, including a 6-1 win in Chestnut Hill last season. No. 87 Jessica Wacnik and No. 115 Asiya Dair lead the Eagles in singles.
