Charlottesville, Va. – Virginia sophomore women’s golfer Lauren Diaz-Yi (Thousand Oaks, Calif.) was named an honorable mention All-America by the Women’s Golf Coaches Association. An All-ACC selection, Diaz-Yi led the Cavaliers with a 73.21 stroke average this season.

Diaz-Yi had four top-10 finishes this season and won the Tar Heel Invitational and the UCF Challenge. She helped Virginia to three tournament titles including the program’s first ACC Championship. The Cavaliers tied for 20th at the NCAA Championships.

Diaz-Yi becomes the sixth Cavalier to earn WGCA All-America honors.

Earlier this year junior Lauren Coughlin was named to the WGCA All-Region team after finishing ninth at the NCAA Regional in St. George, Utah.
