Fitzgerald Named to VaSID All-State First Team

CHARLOTTESVILLE, Va.–Virginia softball sophomore Kaitlin Fitzgerald has been named to the Virginia Sports Information Directors’ All-State University Division First Team, VaSID announced Friday (June 5).
Fitzgerald (Placentia, Calif.) led the Cavaliers in hitting (.360), hits (62) and RBI (42) and was second on the team with a .506 slugging percentage and .404 on-base percentage. Fitzgerald was the 14th-toughest to strikeout in the country, averaging 28.7 at-bats per strikeout.
