UVa's Meet the Teams Event Set for Sunday

Charlottesville, Va. – Virginia’s annual Meet the Teams Day will take place at John Paul Jones Arena on Sunday, Aug. 16. Members of the men’s soccer, women’s soccer, cross country, field hockey and volleyball teams will be available for photos and autographs starting at 12:30 p.m. The football team will be available for photos and autographs from 1-2:30 p.m. The main entrance as well as the arena’s southeast and garage entrances will be used for this event, opening at 12:30 p.m. Free parking will be available in the JPJ and University Hall surface lots.

The first 500 youth in attendance (grades 8 and below per NCAA regulations) at Meet the Teams Day will receive a free Nike mini football. Posters and schedule cards will be available for fans while supplies last. Additionally, the Cavalier Team Shop in the arena’s lobby will be open and concession stands featuring beverages and snacks will be available on the arena floor.

All fans in attendance will have the opportunity to win door prizes, including 2015 season tickets and autographed memorabilia. Cavman and his horse, Sabre, will be in attendance along with members of the Virginia spirit teams.
