Virginia Announces Fall Softball Schedule

CHARLOTTESVILLE, Va. – The Virginia softball team announced its fall schedule on Friday that features four competition dates across three weekends as the Cavaliers prepare for the 2016 season.

The fall schedule features six games on the road and two games at home.

Virginia opens the fall ball schedule with a doubleheader at George Mason (Sept. 19) beginning at 1 p.m. before returning home to host Longwood (Sept. 26) in a doubleheader for the only home matches on the schedule.

The Cavaliers will also compete in the Virginia Fall Military Appreciation Tournament (Oct. 3-4). In that weekend event, Virginia will play four contests. The Cavaliers will face Richard Bland College and Radford on Saturday afternoon before facing James Madison and Liberty on Sunday afternoon. The Tournament will be held in Troutville, Va., at the Botetourt Sports Complex.
