Collin Altamirano Competing at the Claremont USTA Pro Classic

CHARLOTTESVILLE, Va. – Sophomore Collin Altamirano (Sacramento) fell in the semifinals of the 2015 Claremont USTA Pro Classic in Claremont, Calif.
UCLA’s Mackie Mcdonald defeated Altamirano 6-2, 6-2 to advance to the Futures’ Tournament final.
Altamirano moved on to the semifinals of the men’s singles main draw after earning a 6-2, 6-0 victory over Daniel Garza on Friday (Sept. 18). Altamirano advanced to the second round after registering a 3-6, 6-3, 6-3 victory over top-seeded Marcos Giron on Wednesday followed by a 6-4, 3-6, 6-0 victory over Martin Redlicki on Thursday (Sept. 17).
Altamirano played in the main draw of five Italian Futures tournaments this summer, advancing to the semifinals of the Bolzano tournament the first week of August. Altamirano also advanced to the semifinals of the Charlottesville Futures tournament held at the Snyder Tennis Center in early June.
