CHARLOTTESVILLE, Va. – Senior Danielle Collins (St. Petersburg, Fla.) continued to advance with a pair of wins at the Oracle/ITA Masters Tournament, highlighting a full day of Saturday action for the Virginia women’s tennis team as the squad competes on both coasts.

Collins defeated Sinead Lohan of Miami 6-1, 6-0 to advance to Saturday night’s semifinal before defeating Maegan Manasse of California 6-3, 6-7 (3), 6-4 to advance to Sunday’s final.

At the Duke Bonk Invitational being played at the Cary Tennis Center in Cary, N.C., the Cavaliers also had several players in action.

Senior Skylar Morton (Bethesda, Md.) won 4-6, 6-0, 7-5 over Anna Danilina of Florida to advance to the finals of her bracket against Kaitlyn McCarthy of Duke. McCarthy defeated Virginia’s freshman Erica Susi (Vero Beach, Fla.) by a score of 6-2, 6-3 to set up the matchup in the finals. Susi will face Danilina in the third-place match on Sunday morning.

Freshman Meghan Kelley (Falmouth, Me.) fell to Brianna Morgan of Florida 6-7 (4), 2-6 and will face Ellyse Hamlin of Duke in the third-place match on Sunday morning.

Senior Maci Epstein (Winter Park, Fla.) defeated Rebecca Smaller of Duke by a score of 6-2, 6-2 to advance to the consolation finals and will face Johnnie Renaud of Georgia Tech.

Junior Victoria Olivarez (Virginia Beach, Va.) fell 6-1, 4-6, 0-6 to Joanna Nalborska of NC State and will face sophomore teammate Cassie Mercer (Huntington, W.V.) in the third-place match of their bracket. Mercer fell to Spencer Liang of Florida 2-6, 2-6 to set up the match against Olivarez.

In doubles play, the pairing of Epstein and Mercer fell 8-1, while the pairing of Olivarez and Susi fell 8-4 in their respective matches. The pairing of Kelley and Morton picked up an 8-1 victory.
