CHARLOTTESVILLE, Va. – The No. 5 Virginia field hockey team (10-2, 3-2 ACC) finishes off the weekend playing at No. 15 Old Dominion (7-3, 1-0 BIG EAST) on Sunday, Oct. 11 at 1 p.m. at the L.R. Hill Sports Complex in Norfolk, Va.

Virginia is coming off a 2-1 victory at No. 7 Wake Forest on Friday night. Freshmen Greta Ell (Plains, Pa.) and Izzy McDonough (Kennett Square, Pa.) scored the Cavaliers’ goals with sophomore Tara Vittese (Cherry Hill, N.J.) logging an assist.

Despite not playing a game in 11 days, the Old Dominion field hockey team cruised past BIG EAST foe Georgetown on Friday night at the L.R. Hill Sports Complex. The Lady Monarchs posted their second shutout of the season with a 6-0 win over the Hoyas.

Old Dominion leads the all-time series, which dates back to 1976, 34-15, including a 1-0 victory last season in Charlottesville.
