Severin Named ACC Receiver of the Week

Charlottesville, Va. – Virginia senior wide receiver Canaan Severin (Marlborough, Mass.) was named ACC Receiver of the Week for games through Nov. 14.

Severin caught eight passes for 116 yards and a career-high three touchdowns in UVA’s 38-31 loss at Louisville. He became the first UVA player to record three TD receptions in a game since 1994.

Severin’s scoring plays were from 16, 30 and 23 yards. He extended his pass catching streak to 22 games and, with 116 receiving yards, Severin moved into 17th place on UVA’s all-time receiving list with 1,325 career yards.
