Cavaliers Travel To Compete At Mat Town Open Sunday

CHARLOTTESVILLE, Va. – Coming off an upset win over No. 15 Old Dominion this past weekend, the focus of the Virginia wrestling team shifts away from dual meets and to individual competition beginning with the Mat Town Open on Sunday (Nov. 22). Wrestling begins at 9:30 a.m.
Several Cavaliers will be heading to compete at the event hosted by Lock Haven University as the squad kicks off a stretch of competition at tournaments, including the Cliff Keen Invitational (Dec. 4-5; Las Vegas, Nev.) and the Southern Scuffle (Jan. 1-2, 2016; Chattanooga, Tenn.).
Virginia is sending 17 wrestlers to the event with two competing unattached. Fans can follow the action online with live stats and updates here.

George DiCamillo – 9th at 133 pounds
Zach Nye – 9th at 197 pounds

UP NEXT FOR VIRGINIA:
The Cavaliers will continue to wrestle away from the friendly confines of Memorial Gymnasium with a trip out west to the Cliff Keen Invitational the weekend of Dec. 4-5. The prestigious event will be held at the Cashman Center.
