#VAMSOC Freshman’s Long Journey to UVA

Edward Opoku’s first season may have come to an end last night in Maryland, but his journey has only begun. As a five year old, he learned the game playing in bare feet, kicking rocks on a dirt road. On Sunday, the #UVABase team picked up rakes, shovels and various other tools to lend a hand at Jack Jouett Middle School and Albemarle High School. An annual tradition, the team volunteers to assist the Carson Raymond Foundation one day every fall, this year working to renovate two fields. On Friday evening, the #UVAMTennis team gathered at Alumni Hall to celebrate their 2015 NCAA Championship and be presented their rings with fans, friends, family and supporters. Click here on the photo above to see images from the banquet.
