Obviously the biggest news of the weekend hit a little after 5pm on Friday afternoon and the splash continues at 10 a.m. Monday when Bronco Mendenhall will be introduced as the head football coach for the Cavaliers. Check out this piece from Andrew Ramspacher that gives fans a sneak peek at the man behind the headset.

UVA alum Darius Jennings was active on Sunday, a day after the Browns promoted him from the practice squad. Jennings has spent all of the 2015 season on the practice squad after signing as an undrafted free agent in May. “They had kind of mentioned it early on in the week,” Jennings said when asked about finding out about playing. “Each week I just prepare as if I’m going to be a starter because you just never know. I just waited my turn, just stayed patient and it showed on the field today.” Jennings had five catches for 35 yards on Sunday and was targeted seven times. The University of Virginia’s all-time leader in career kick return yards returned five kickoffs against the Bengals, averaging 22.4 yards a return.

It was a great season for  #UVAMSoccer alum @TonyTchani23, helping to lead his @ColumbusCrewSC to Sunday’s #MLSCup championship game, but the Crew fell to the Portland Timbers, 2-1.
