CHARLOTTESVILLE, Va. – Senior Lauren Fuller (Manhattan Beach, Calif.) and freshman Anna Walsh (Grapevine, Texas) earned AVCA All-East Coast Region honors, the volleyball coaches’ association announced on Tuesday (Dec. 8).

Fuller earned her second all-region selection, after being named honorable mention in 2013. An All-ACC First-Team honoree, Fuller dished out 1,250 assists on the season to average 10.87 per set to rank second in the ACC.

She finished the season ranked 37th in assists per set and 38th in total assists in the NCAA. Fuller also tallied six double-doubles on the year and guided UVA to eight matches over .300 hitting percentage.

Walsh is just the second player in school history to earn All-Region Freshman of the Year, along with McKenzie Adams in 2010. The middle blocker was selected to the All-Freshman Team after averaging 2.59 kills per set and 0.86 blocks per set in 31 matches.

Walsh was named ACC Freshman of the Week four times this season, which is a school record. She has notched double-figure kills in 15 matches, including a career-high 20 kills against Syracuse.
