@NoShameShane’s Epic Thursday

Virginia men’s tennis senior Ryan Shane is in L.A. competing at the $25,000 USC Los Angeles Pro Futures Tournament. Normally at this time of year, playing tennis in Southern California is ideal. However, with the epic El Nino-aided rains plaguing the region right now came a jumbled tournament schedule that had Shane playing three matches on Thursday afternoon, a total playing time of four hours, 51 minutes that ended around 10 p.m. At the end of a very long day, Shane won all three matches and has advanced to the quarterfinals in both singles and doubles. His reward: another pair of matches today, starting at 10 a.m. Pacific Time.
