Buzzy Wilkinson

Today’s blog start off with a bit of very sad news. #UVAWBB great Richard “Buzzy” Wilkinson passed away in Myrtle Beach this weekend at the age of 83. Wilkinson was one of the most prolific scorers in the college game from 1953-55 and earned All-America honors his senior season. He finished his career as a Cavalier with a scoring average of 28.6 points per game, which is still a UVA and ACC record. Jerry Ratcliffe wrote this nice piece on Wilkinson in the Daily Progress.

@Kyle_Guy24 Named @McDAAG

#UVAMBB signee Kyle Guy has been named to the McDonald’s All-Amercian Game roster. The shooting guard is averaging 24.6 points per game this season for Lawrence Central High in Indianapolis.
