CHARLOTTESVILLE, Va. – Following a weekend of inclement weather that affected both coasts, the eighth annual ITA Kick-Off Weekend drew to a successful close on Monday, January 25, and the fields are now set for the 2016 Division I Men’s and Women’s National Team Indoor Championships next month.

The men’s #ITAIndoors field had to wait until Monday afternoon to round into form, as weather forced two Kick-Off Weekend regionals (Wake Forest and Columbia served as hosts) to extend play by a day. Like the women, the men’s No. 1 seeds at the Kick-Off Weekend largely held serve, with 13 of 15 winning their respective regional. San Diego (No. 2 seed) and Texas Tech (No. 3 seed) were the two non-No. 1 seeds to advance out of the Kick-Off Weekend.

The defending champions from Norman, Oklahoma, are in the 2016 field. Oklahoma beat USC 4-2 in the 2015 final. The host Cavaliers have won five of the last eight #ITAIndoors titles (2008, 2009, 2010, 2011 and 2013).
