Step Up to the Plate

#UVABase collected its national championship rings Saturday night as part of the annual Step Up to the Plate event at John Paul Jones Arena. A record crowd of approximately 1,000 people filled the floor of JPJ to look back at the the 2015 championship and look ahead to the 2016 season, which starts Feb. 19. Check out the photo gallery.

On Saturday, members of #UVAWBB had a different sort of two-a-day. The Cavaliers went straight from their own practice to join Area 3 Special Olympics basketball practice. The UVA players led skill drills as well as helped coach. Check out the photo gallery.

In her LPGA debut, former UVA All-American Brittany Altomore (@Brit_alto12) finished 21st at the Pure Silk Bahamas Classic. Altomare used a final round 67 to climb the leaderboard that included a 6-under 30 on her front nine.
