CHARLOTTESVILLE, Va.-Two Virginia men’s swimmers, senior Yannick Kaeser and freshman Zach Fong, have been selected to compete at the 2016 NCAA Championships. The national meet with be held March 23-26 in Atlanta at the Georgia Tech Aquatic Center.

Kaeser (Mumpf, Switzerland) has qualified for the NCAA Championships for the third-consecutive year. The senior holds the school record in both the 100- and 200-yard breaststroke. Kaeser finished 16th in the 200 breast at the 2014 NCAA Championships and placed 16th in the 100 breast at the 2015 national meet.

Fong (Moorestown, N.J.) will be making his NCAA Championship debut. Fong placed fourth in the 200-yard butterfly at the ACC Championships and also scored in the 200-yard individual medley and the 400 IM.

A total of 235 swimmers from 52 schools were selected for the NCAA Championships.
