CHARLOTTESVILLE, Va.-The Virginia men’s track and field/cross country program has been ranked seventh in the latest Program of the Year rankings, as announced by the U.S. Track and Field and Cross Country Coaches Association.

The Program of the Year award honors the institution that has achieved the most success in each academic year (spanning the cross country, indoor track & field, and outdoor track & field seasons) based on the institution’s finish at the NCAA Championships.

Virginia finished 22nd at the NCAA Cross Country Championships in November and placed a program-best eighth at the NCAA Indoor Championships last weekend (March 11-12). UVA is one of eight schools to finish in the top-25 at the first two national meets.
