ATLANTA–Virginia senior swimmer Yannick Kaeser earned honorable mention All-Ameirca honors in the 100-yard breaststroke Friday (March 25) at the NCAA Championships in the McAuley Aquatic Center in Atlanta.

Kaeser (Mumpf, Switzerland) placed 14th in 100 breast in a time of 52.86. Kaeser’s prelim time of 52.47 matched his school-record mark, set in 2014. It is Kaeser’s third All-America honor, after finishing 16th in the 100 breast in 2015 and 16th in the 200 breast in 2014.

In the 100 fly, freshman Zach Fong (Moorestown, N.J.) placed 37th in 47.19, which ranks fourth on UVA’s all-time list.

The meet concludes Saturday, with Kaeser swimming in the 200 breast and Fong competing in the 200 fly. Prelims are set for a 10 a.m. start with finals at 6 p.m.
