CHARLOTTESVILLE, Va. – The No. 12 Virginia (11-7, 6-3 ACC) women’s tennis team returns home to continue ACC competition this weekend, hosting No. 10 Duke and No. 16 Georgia Tech in a pair of matches at the Snyder Tennis Center.

The Cavaliers will host Duke (13-3, 6-2 ACC) at 3 p.m. on Friday before closing out the weekend with Georgia Tech (12-5, 7-1 ACC) at noon on Sunday. Admission to all women’s tennis matches is free. Fans who can’t make it to the match can follow live stats and video at VirginiaSports.com.

Virginia is coming off a shutout victory at Florida State in its last outing, defeating the Seminoles 4-0 on Sunday. The match kicks off a stretch run for the Cavaliers with four-of-five remaining matches at home.

Friday’s contest with the Blue Devils continues to match powers from within the ACC as both Virginia and Duke boast multiple players among the national rankings in singles along with nationally-ranked doubles teams.

Leading the way for the Cavaliers is a trio of seniors who also serve as captains for the squad. Danielle Collins (St. Petersburg, Fla.) is ranked No. 4 in the latest ITA singles rankings, while Julia Elbaba (Oyster Bay, N.Y.) is ranked No. 16. Stephanie Nauta (Galveston, Texas) is ranked No. 111 to round out the trio of captains ranked for Virginia.

The doubles pairing of Collins and freshman Meghan Kelley (Falmouth, Me.) is ranked No. 21 in the latest ITA doubles rankings.

Duke has four players ranked in singles, led by Beatrice Capra at No. 28 in the ITA rankings. Also ranked are Kaitlyn McCarthy (No. 35), Ellyse Hamlin (No. 78) and Chalena Scholl (No. 92).

In doubles, the pairing of Capra and Hamlin is ranked No. 13, while the pairing of Jessica Ho and Scholl is ranked No. 60.

The Yellow Jackets have three players ranked nationally in singles with Johnnise Renaud leading the way at No. 30. Also ranked for Georgia Tech are Paige Hourigan (No. 105) and Rasheeda McAdoo (No. 117).

The pairing of Hourigan and Kendal Woodard is ranked No. 19 for Georgia Tech.
