GREENSBORO, N.C.-Virginia junior Henry Wynne has been named the ACC Men’s Track Performer of the Week, the conference announced Tuesday (April 5).

A junior from Westport, Conn., Wynne broke the Virginia school, Pressly Stadium and Florida Relays meet records in the 1,500 meters in last Friday night’s competition at Gainesville, Fla. Wynne recorded the top NCAA time this season in the 1,500 meters with a time of 3:38.35. He was also part of the Cavaliers’ 4×800 relay that finished third with a time of 7:25.92.

This is Wynne’s first conference weekly honor of his career. He was named the 2016 ACC Men’s Indoor Track Performer of the Year after winning the NCAA and ACC titles in the mile as well as the conference championship in the distance medley relay.

Wynne shared the weekly honor with Florida State’s Zak Seddon.
