CHARLOTTESVILLE, Va – The third-ranked Virginia rowing team hosts Duke in a regatta on Saturday (April 9) on the Rivanna Reservoir in Earlysville, Va. First race is set for 6:30 a.m.

Action begins with the Third Varsity Four, followed by the Second Varsity Four, Varsity Four, Second Varsity Eight, Varsity Eight and Third Varsity Eight. Admission is free to the public. Free parking and viewing for the 2,000-meter course is available at Cornerstone Community Church in Earlysville.

Virginia is coming off a successful weekend at No. 3 Ohio State. The Cavaliers won all five races against then-No. 7 Michigan and Michigan State and five of seven races against the three-time defending NCAA champion Buckeyes. UVA’s Second Varsity Eight captured ACC Crew of the Week honors by posting a pair of wins.

The Cavaliers won 17 of 18 races during at the Oak Ridge Cardinal Invitational to start the 2016 season and won four of five races against Yale on March 19.

Virginia returns to action at Clemson on Saturday-Sunday, April 16-17.
