#UVAWBB announced the signing of a (literally) big recruit yesterday during the Spring signing period. Felicia Aiyeotan of Blair Academy in New Jersey is, as the Daily Progress’ Andrew Ramspacher says about the 6-9 center, “one of the world’s tallest teenage girls” and “her wingspan is longer than Mike Tobey’s”. But can she dunk? Her high school coach and YouTube say “yes”.
Former UVA women’s golfer Lauren Greenlief received this year’s sponsor’s exemption to the 2016 LPGA @KingsmillLPGA tournament May 16-22 in Williamsburg, Va. Last October she won the U.S. Women’s Mid-Amateur title. At 25 years old, she was the youngest player to ever win the USGA event. What makes the invitation interesting is the fact that Greenlief is not a professional golfer. She works full time as a management consultant for The Boston Consulting Group in Washington, D.C.
