Virginia Earns No. 5 Seed In 2016 ACC Women's Lacrosse Championships

CHARLOTTESVILLE, Va. – The Virginia women’s lacrosse team (9-7, 3-4 ACC) earned the No. 5 seed in the 2016 Atlantic Coast Conference Women’s Lacrosse Championship, taking on the No. 4 seed, Duke (9-7, 4-3 ACC) in the quarterfinals on Thursday, April 28 at 2:30 p.m.
The tournament will be held at Virginia Tech’s Lane Stadium in Blacksburg, Va. All seven games of the tournament will be televised on the ACC’s Regional Sports Networks (RSN) and will also be available on ESPN3.
The winner of the Duke/Virginia game will advance to the semifinals to take on either No. 1 North Carolina or No. 8 Virginia Tech at 5 p.m. on Friday, April 29. The winner of Friday’s semifinals games will advance to the championship game on Sunday, May 1 at 1 p.m.
Virginia fell to Duke, 11-8, when the two teams met in the regular season in Durham, N.C. on March 26.
All-session tickets are $15 for adults, $10 for students and seniors. Single-session tickets are $10 for adults, $5 for students and seniors.
