Former Virginia two-sport star Meghan O’Leary (third from left) captured the women’s double skulls at the U.S. Olympic Trials in Sarasota, Fla., with teammate Ellen Tomek on Sunday, April 24 to qualify for the 2016 Rio Olympics. O’Leary (’08) played softball and volleyball at UVA. Also, far right in the photo is former UVA rower Keziah Beall (’12) who finished 3rd in the trials.

Former #UVAWGolf All-American Brittany Altomare (@Britt_alto12) won the Symetra Tour’s Guardian Retirement Championship at Sara Bay in Sarasota, Fla. to earn her way onto the LPGA Tour’s next stop. Altomare, a former ACC Champion, won on the fifth playoff hole to pick up her first professional victory. Altomare earned a spot to the  Volunteers of America Texas Shootout Presented by JTBC in Irving, Texas April 28-May 1.
