Former UVA star Justin Anderson concluded his successfulrookie season after last night’s loss to Oklahoma City in the first roundof the NBA playoffs. Anderson, who averaged 3.8 points in 55 gamesduring the regular season, averaged 9.4 points and 4.0 rebounds in five playoffgames against the Thunder.


The No. 15 Virginia women’s golf team received its bid tothe NCAA Regional Championship site at Stanford on Monday night. It marks the12th consecutive year the Hoos have played in the postseason.There’s a familiar feel to this year’s field of teams. UVA is the No. 4 seedwhile USC is No. 1, Arkansas is No. 2, Stanford is No. 3, UNLV is No. 5 and SanDiego State is No. 6. At last year’s regional championship in Utah, those samesix schools were among the site’s top seven seeded teams. UVA placed fifth atthe regional and advanced to the NCAA Championships.
