Former #UVAFB tight end Tom Santi returned to the University of Virginia to pursue his MBA at the Darden School when his NFL career ended prematurely due to a knee injury. In this #UVAToday piece in a series that profiles members of the Class of 2016, Santi talks about what led him back to Grounds and what the next chapter in his life will hold.

#UVAFB assistant coach Marques Hagans was quite the legend as a high schooler in the 757. He recently bumped into former NBA MVP Allen Iverson and presented him with a #HoosRising t-shirt. It makes us wonder what Iverson would have to say about @UVACoachBronco’s high-paced practices.

All-Sports Banquet

On Wednesday night, the Virginia Cavaliers gathered en masse to for the annual All-Sports Banquet. In addition to the awards ceremony with prestigious honors like the WINA Top Male Athlete (Malcolm Brogdon) and the IMP Top Female Athlete (Leah Smith), this year also featured popular additions like a photo booth for teams to have some fun before the doling out of the hardware, as demonstrated by the volleyball players above. Former #UVAFB walk-on Jason Robinson had a big impact on a number of lives in the Peninsula area. He passed away unexpectedly this week following surgery for a brain tumor. The Daily Progress tells his story in today’s newspaper.
