#UVAWTEN just-graduated senior Julia Elbaba was the winner at the US Open Eastern Sectional Qualifying Tournament this week at the USTA National Tennis Center. Elbaba, as the women’s singles sectional champion, advances to the 2016 US Open National Playoffs Championships August 19-22, held in conjunction with the Connecticut Open in New Haven, Conn., with the winner of that event earning a wild card into the US Open Qualifying Tournament.
The Cavaliers had two players taken in the early rounds of the Major League Baseball Draft.
