Charlottesville, Va. – Virginia freshman women’s golfer Anna Redding (Concord, N.C.) has been named to the 2016 Women’s Golf Coaches Association (WGCA) All-American Scholars team. The criteria for selection to the team is to have a minimum cumulative grade point average of 3.50.

In her first season at UVA, Redding played in nine tournaments and finished fourth on the team with a 74.83 stroke average that ranked No. 25 in the ACC. She finished 53rd at the NCAA Championships and helped the Cavaliers to a fifth-place finish in medal play competition. Her best performance came at the ACC Championships where she placed fifth.

Redding was previously named to the ACC All-Academic team for women’s golf and the ACC Honor Roll.
