CHARLOTTESVILLE, Va. ââ’¬” The Virginia men’s soccer team steps onto the home pitch at Klöckner Stadium for the first time in the 2016 season at 7 p.m. Saturday (Aug. 13) when it plays host to Longwood in exhibition action. It marks the first of three home friendlies for the Cavaliers in an eight-day span in preparation for the regular season. Ranked 17th nationally in the preseason NSCAA poll, UVA also entertains Liberty on Tuesday (Aug. 17) and No. 10 Georgetown on Saturday, Aug. 20.

Admission is free for each of the three exhibition games.

After reaching the second round of the 2015 NCAA Tournament, Virginia had its first official day of training on Wednesday. UVA returns 18 letterwinners this season, including seven starters, while welcoming in a top five-ranked recruiting class. The Cavaliers boast 14 newcomers this year, including 12 freshmen as well as a pair of transfers.

UVA has won seven national championships and 15 ACC titles and appeared in 35-consecutive NCAA tournaments ââ’¬” the longest current streak in the nation.

Virginia kicks off its regular-season schedule on Friday, Aug. 26, at home against No. 21 Coastal Carolina.

Regular-Season Ticket Information
A limited number of reserved season tickets remain available and are $45 apiece. General admission season tickets are available for adults ($20), Youth/Senior ($15) and UVA Faculty/Staff ($15).

Single-game tickets are $9 for reserved seats if available, $7 for adults and $5 for youth, seniors and faculty/staff. Group ticket orders of 20 or more tickets are $4 per ticket.

All fans can order season tickets online, in person or by telephone. To purchase tickets online, visit VirginiaSports.com/Tickets. The Virginia men boast an outstanding 11-match home schedule, highlighted by visits from five 2015 NCAA qualifiers ââ’¬” Coastal Carolina, national runner-up Clemson (Sept. 17), Hofstra (Oct. 4), Radford (Oct. 11) and Notre Dame (Oct. 14).

Men’s Soccer Promotions Schedule
New noisemaker policy:
Artificial noisemakers, excluding air horns, whistles and those that amplify electric sound, will be permitted at all home men’s soccer matches, including postseason events. The use of artificial noisemakers will be limited to Sections 4 and 5 in Klöckner Stadium only.
