Virginia Competes at adidas XC Challenge Friday

CHARLOTTESVILLE, Va.-The nationally-ranked Virginia men’s and women’s cross country teams head to Cary, N.C., Friday (Sept. 16) for the adidas XC Challenge at the WakeMed Soccer Park.
The men’s 6K race is scheduled for 5:35 p.m., while the women’s 5K contest is set for 6:05 p.m. Live results will be available at VirginiaSports.com.
The Cavalier men are ranked No. 13 in the latest USTFCCCA national poll and No. 12 in the Saucony/FloTrack National 50 poll, while the UVA women are No. 14 in the USTFCCCA and No. 26 in the Saucony/FloTrack polls.
The ranked teams the Cavaliers will be competing against this week include the No. 5 NC State women, No. 27 NC State men, Florida State, North Carolina and Wake Forest.
Up next, the Cavaliers host the Virginia/Panorama Farms Invitational Sept. 23 at Panorama Farms in Earlysville.
