Charlottesville, Va. – The Virginia women’s golf team returns to action Sunday when the Cavaliers compete at the ANNIKA Intercollegiate Presented by 3M. The tournament, which runs through Tuesday, will be held at the Reunion Resort Watson Course (par-72, 6,257-yard) in Orlando, Fla.
This year’s field features four teams which made the NCAA match-play finals, Duke, South Carolina, USC and Virginia and five more which made the NCAA Championships, Arizona, Arkansas, Florida, Georgia and Oklahoma State. Rounding out the 12-team field are Arizona State and UCF.
UVA is one of 11 teams in the field that finished last season ranked in the top 20 of the final Golfweek standings.
Virginia’s lineup will feature senior Lauren Diaz-Yi (Thousand Oaks, Calif.), junior Sarah Kolodzik (Bellbrook, Ohio) and sophomores Morgan Gonzales (Chandler, Ariz.), Anna Redding (Concord, N.C.) and Katharine Patrick.
Virginia will be paired with Arizona and Georgia during the opening round, teeing off from the first tee starting at 8 a.m. Live scoring throughout the tournament will be available online at Golfstat.com.
