CHARLOTTESVILLE, Va. – The No. 12 Virginia field hockey team (7-4, 2-1 ACC) hosts No. 14 Old Dominion (6-3, 2-1 Big East) on Sunday, Oct. 2 at 1 p.m. at University Hall Turf Field in Charlottesville, Va.

Admission is free for all regular-season Virginia field hockey games.

Live stats will be available through the GameTracker link on VirginiaSports.com as well as the Virginia Gameday Live app. The game will also stream live as an ACC Network Extra game online on ESPN3 and on the WatchESPN app.

Both teams are coming off conference victories on Friday night. Old Dominion downed Liberty, 2-1, in overtime with Megan Byas scoring both of the Monarchs’ goals.

Senior Lucy Hyams (Whitstable, England) scored two goals in the Cavaliers’ 4-2 victory over Wake Forest on Friday night. Hyams has scored at least one goal in each of the last three games and leads the team with 16 points.

Junior Tara Vittese (Cherry Hill, N.J.) scored a goal and had an assist in Friday’s victory. Vittese has 103 career points, two points shy of tying Cheryl Gleason (1981-84) for 10th place on the UVA career points list.

Old Dominion leads the all-time series, 31-13, and has won each of the last two meetings. Last year, the Monarchs prevailed, 3-2, in overtime.

Virginia will be back on the road next weekend, playing at No. 2 North Carolina on Friday, Oct. 7 at 6 p.m. Live scoring and live streaming video of the game will be available from the UNC Athletics website.
