Congratulations to former #UVAMTennis All-American Jarmere Jenkins won the seventh singles title of his professional career, but his first since 2014, when he prevailed in the finals of the Brisbane QTC International Futures Tournament in Australia.

A pair of former Cavalier standouts faced off on the pitch Sunday with 2015 ACC Defensive Player of the Year Emily Sonnett taking the field for the Portland Thorns and 2015 ACC Offensive Player of the Year Makenzy Doniak taking the field for the Western NY Flash in the NWSL Semifinals. Both players scored goals (Watch Doniak’s goal/ Sonnett’s goal) to help their team in the quest for the finals, but it was Doniak’s Flash that advanced with a 4-3 win in overtime. Doniak and the Flash will take play in the Championship at 5 p.m. on Sunday, Oct. 9, in Houston.
