Pepsi Blue & White Scrimmage

On Sunday, several thousand fans came to John Paul Jones Arena to watch the #UVAMBB team take on the #UVAMBB team in the annual Pepsi Blue & White Scrimmage. It was also Meet the Teams Day with the wrestling team and the men’s and women’s swimming and diving teams signing autographs before the scrimmage and the men’s and women’s basketball teams meeting fans afterwards.

On Saturday morning, the members of the #UVAMTennis team were presented their 2016 NCAA Champion rings at a brunch-time ceremony held at the Darden School. After the ceremony, the team went to Scott Stadium where they signed championship posters for fans before being introduced on the field during the first quarter.

On Friday night, the #UVAFH team dedicated their final ACC contest of the year to their former bus driver, Bernard Martin, who passed away in April. Members of the Martin family stood with the team during opening lineups and a moment of silence in honor of “Bernie”.

It was alumni weekend for the #UVAFH team. On Friday night, several alumni came out to Turf Field to take in the Louisville game, including this assortment of players, several of whom played on the Cavaliers’ Final Four teams in 209 and 2010.  (Kelsey LeBlanc, Elizabeth Hanks, Kim Kastuk, Lane Smith, Phoebe Willis, Michelle Vittese and Paige Selenski).
