Charlottesville, Va. – The Virginia women’s golf team wraps up the fall portion of its schedule this weekend at the 15th annual Landfall Tradition held Friday through Sunday, Oct. 28-30, at the Country Club of Landfall in Wilmington, N.C.

A total of 18 teams and six individuals will compete on the par-72, 6,166-yard layout that borders the Intracoastal Waterway near Wrightsville Beach.

In addition to host UNCW and the Cavaliers, the field includes Alabama, Brown, Clemson, Furman, Iowa, Michigan State, North Carolina, NC State, Notre Dame, Oklahoma, Penn State, Purdue, South Carolina, Texas Tech, UCF and Wake Forest.

Virginia’s lineup for this year’s tournament features senior Lauren Diaz-Yi (Thousand Oaks, Calif.), sophomore’s Katharine Patrick (Houston, Texas), Morgan Gonzales (Chandler, Ariz.) and Anna Redding (Concord, N.C.) and freshman Julia Ford (Shrewsbury, Mass.). Sophomore Rachel Corry (Ridgefield, Conn.) will compete as an individual.

Last year UVA finished 12th at the event behind Lauren Coughlin’s eighth-place. She shot 2-under 214. The Cavaliers won the title in 2006, claiming a tiebreaker victory after both UVa and Michigan State finished play at 902.

Tee times are set to start at 8:30 a.m. on Friday and Saturday from the No. 1 and No. 10 tees. Sunday’s play will begin with a shotgun start at 8:45 a.m.
