CHARLOTTESVILLE, Va. – The Virginia women’s tennis team will wrap up its fall season this weekend, traveling to compete at the Kitty Harrison Invitational hosted by North Carolina in a three-day event that begins on Friday (Nov. 4).

The Cavaliers are coming off a solid weekend at the Puerto Rico College Challenge where Virginia played a round-robin set of matches in singles and doubles against Georgia, Old Dominion and Vanderbilt.

This weekend, the Cavaliers will play a mix of doubles and singles matches against teams from all over the nation. Friday’s play begins with doubles against Texas Tech at 9 am. and Duke at 10:30 a.m., before facing Minnesota in singles at 2 p.m. Saturday (Nov. 5) will see the Cavaliers face Penn State in doubles at 9 a.m. and William and Mary in singles at 12:30 p.m. The Invitational will conclude with singles against North Carolina at 9 a.m. on Sunday (Nov. 6).

It’s the fifth and final event for Virginia this fall. The Cavaliers have already competed in the Bonk Invitational hosted by Duke, the UVA Fall Invite, the ITA Atlantic Regional and the Puerto Rico College Challenge.

The Cavaliers begin the spring season on January 21, 2017, at home against Boston College.
