CHARLOTTESVILLE, Va. – The Virginia women’s basketball team (5-2, 0-0 ACC) will play at Bowling Green (3-4, 0-0 MAC) on Sunday, Dec. 4 at 2 p.m. at the Stroh Center in Bowling Green, Ohio.

All of the 2016-17 Virginia women’s basketball games – home and away – are available locally on NewsRadio 1070 AM and 98.9 FM WINA with Luke Neer and Chelsea Shine-Wilson calling the action on Sunday. The game will also stream live online via the ESPN3/ WatchESPN app.

After starting the season 0-4, Bowling Green will be going for its fourth-straight victory on Sunday. UVA has started the season 5-2 for the third-straight season and is among the teams receiving votes in this week’s USA Today Coaches’ Poll. Virginia head coach Joanne Boyle is approaching a career milestone as she tries for her 300th career victory on Sunday afternoon.

The Cavaliers are trying to rebound after suffering a 69-60 setback at Northwestern on Thursday night. Virginia had four players finish the game in double figures, led by 16 points from junior forward Lauren Moses (Mount Holly, N.J.). Moses is averaging 17.5 points per game in her last two contests, going 15-of-26 (57.6 percent) from the field.

Freshman guard Jocelyn Willoughby (East Orange, N.J.) continues to lead the team in rebounding, averaging 5.9 per game. Willoughby has also scored in double figures each of the last three games, including scoring 12 points in 17 minutes against Nebraska, going 6-of-9 from the field against the Huskers.

This will be the second-ever meeting between UVA and BGSU with the Cavaliers picking up a 68-39 victory last season at John Paul Jones Arena after the Cavaliers went on a 37-9 run spanning the second and third quarters to break open a 17-12 game.

Bowling Green is coming off a 73-46 victory over Davis & Elkins on Wednesday. Abby Siefker is averaging a team-high 8.9 rebounds per game and leads the MAC with three double-doubles this season. Carly Santoro leads the team by averaging 13.9 points per game. Bowling Green is out-rebounding its opponents by an average of 8.4 per game.
