Former UVA All-American and 2011 NCAA title-winning goalie, Adam Ghitelman (@AGhitelman8), is UVA’s lone representative on Team USA. Team USA had its first contest of 2017 over the weekend (Jan. 15), defeating Notre Dame, 16-11, in an exhibition at the IMG Academy Field in Bradenton, Fla. Ghitelman led the USA with two saves in the win. Ghitelman (pictured on left) is currently the defensive coordinator for Utah and plays in the @MLL_Lacrosse for the @AtlantaBlaze.

#UVAVB signee Michaela Putnicki was named the Colorado’s Gatorade State Player of the Year after helping Lewis-Palmer to a 29-0 season and a 4A title. Putnicki had a team-high 309 kills, while adding 22 digs, 29 blocks and 27 aces in her senior season. Putnicki is set to join the Cavaliers for the 2017 season as an outside hitter.
