CHARLOTTESVILLE, Va. – Three Virginia Cavaliers were named to the 2016 All-Atlantic Coast Conference Academic Field Hockey Team, as announced by Commissioner John Swofford.

Senior forward Caleigh Foust (Bryn Mawr, Pa.) earned her fourth-straight honor while sophomore goalkeeper Carrera Lucas (Brooklandville, Md.) and freshman back Dominique van Slooten (Laren, The Netherlands) were voted to the team for the first time.

Minimum academic requirements for selection to the All-ACC Academic Team are a 3.0 grade point average for the previous semester and a 3.0 cumulative average during one’s academic career for undergraduate students. Athletic achievements during the most recent season are also considered in selecting the All-ACC Academic Team.

The ACC Honor Roll, which recognizes all conference student-athletes with a grade point average of 3.0 for the current academic year, will be released in July.

North Carolina senior Emma Bozek was named the ACC Field Hockey Scholar-Athlete of the Year.
