CHARLOTTESVILLE, Va. – Virginia volleyball senior Haley Kole (Tallahassee, Fla.) has been named to the 2016 All-ACC Academic Team, the league office announced on Thursday (Feb. 9).

This is the third academic honor for Kole in her career. The outside hitter was among 35 student-athletes from 14 institutions on this year’s All-ACC Academic Team.

Majoring in Foreign Affairs, Kole was a leader on and off the court for the Cavaliers this past season. Kole led UVA with 418 kills, averaging 3.48 kills per set to rank 10th in the ACC at the end of the season. She concluded her UVA career ranked fourth all-time with 1,457 career kills and she ranks ninth with a 3.16 kills per set average.

Minimum academic requirements for selection to the All-ACC Academic Team are a 3.0 grade point average for the previous semester and a 3.0 cumulative average during one’s academic career for undergraduate students. Athletic achievements during the most recent season are also considered in selecting the All-ACC Academic Team.
