CHARLOTTESVILLE, Va. – Virginia volleyball head coach Aaron Smith announced that Megan Wilson (Brookeville, Md.) will join the 2017 incoming class for the Cavaliers.
Wilson is the fourth signee, joining Sarah Billiard, Michaela Putnicki and Alexandra Spencer.
“Megan has continued to improve her skills every time I see her play,” Smith said. “She sets with consistency, which is maybe the most important attribute for a setter to have, along with having a great feel for running an offense. Megan is not only a great addition on the court, but a great teammate and addition to the program.”
Wilson was a three-year varsity starter at Sherwood High School. As a senior, she finished with 564 assists on the season and was named to the state finals tournament team. She is a two-time All-County Montgomery County first team and All-Met Honorable Mention Washington Post honoree. Excelling on and off the court, Wilson was a four-time scholar-athlete.
