CHARLOTTESVILLE, Va. – The No. 23 Virginia wrestling team (10-5, 2-2 ACC) hosts No. 24 Pittsburgh (9-5, 0-3 ACC) at 1 p.m. Sunday (Feb. 12) in a dual match at Memorial Gym. It will be senior day for the Cavaliers who honor eight wrestlers prior to the start of the dual.

Virginia is coming off a pair of ACC wins after going on the road last weekend to defeat No. 25 North Carolina and Duke on consecutive days. It will be the final conference matchup of the season for Virginia.

Admission to all wrestling matches is free. Fans who can’t make it to Memorial Gym for the dual match can follow the action live through live stats linked at VirginiaSports.com.

Senior Celebration
The Cavaliers will honor the seniors on Sunday prior to the dual match with Pittsburgh. Virginia will honor eight wrestlers for their contribution to the program over the years. Wrestlers to be recognized include: Ray Bethea (Trenton, N.J.), Chuck Boddy (Abington, Pa.), George DiCamillo (Highland Heights, Ohio), Drew Hull (Gasport, N.Y.), Will Mason (Virginia, Beach, Va.), M.J. Roberson (Richmond, Va.), Alex Uhre (Fort Lauderdale, Fla.) and Chris Yankowich (Norristown, Pa.).

A trio of Cavaliers continue to find themselves among the tops in the nation at their weight class with freshman Jack Mueller (Dallas, Texas), senior George DiCamillo and junior Andrew Atkinson (Lynchburg, Va.) ranked in the latest InterMat rankings.

Cavaliers In The NCAA Statistical Rankings
A freshman Cavalier found himself in the top 10 nationally in the third release of the NCAA Statistical Rankings this week. Jack Mueller topped the national statistics for tech falls entering the week, holding nine to date in 33:47.

Virginia Wrestlers In The RPI
The NCAA released its initial RPI for the 2017 wrestling season on Friday and the Cavaliers had eight wrestlers listed, including five wrestlers among the top 20 of their weight classes. To be ranked in the RPI, a wrestler must have wrestled in at least 17 matches.
