CHARLOTTESVILLE, Va. – Six members of the Virginia wrestling team travel to Colorado this weekend to compete in the U.S. Western National Open hosted by Air Force on Sunday (Feb. 19). Competition begins at 11 a.m. ET in the center gym of Cadet Gymnasium.

Virginia Wrestlers In The RPI
The NCAA released its initial RPI for the 2017 wrestling season a week ago and the Cavaliers had eight wrestlers listed, including five wrestlers among the top 20 of their weight classes. To be ranked in the RPI, a wrestler must have wrestled in at least 17 matches.

Virginia will have a week off following the U.S. Western National Open before returning to action at the ACC Championships on Saturday, March 4. The ACC Championships are hosted this season by NC State and will begin at 11 a.m. at Reynolds Coliseum.
