NCAA Bids On The Line In Raleigh
The championships serve as the automatic qualifier to the NCAA Championships. The ACC has been allotted 29 automatic qualifiers, down from 31 after injuries forced two wrestlers to withdraw from the ACC Championships; the breakdown by weight class: 125: 3, 133: 2, 141: 3, 149: 3, 157: 4, 165: 2, 174: 3, 184: 2, 197: 2, 285: 5. To earn the automatic qualifier, each wrestler must finish a certain place or higher at the conference championships (e.g., place in top three at 125 pounds).

DiCamillo Looks For Fourth ACC Championship
Redshirt senior George DiCamillo is one of only seven UVA wrestlers to win three ACC titles in a career (2013, 2015, 2016). After winning the previous three at 133 pounds, DiCamillo seeks his fourth ACC Championship at 141 pounds. DiCamillo is the No. 2 seed at 141 pounds after posting a 4-1 record in ACC duals. His only loss came to top-seeded Kevin Jack. Only three wrestlers have won four ACC titles at two different weights, but two of those three have been wrestlers moving up from 133 to 141.

Virginia In The ACC Championships
UVA has won five ACC Championships – 1974, 1975, 1977, 2010 and 2015. Virginia finished second at the 2012 and 2013 ACC Championships. The Cavaliers have won the ACC Championship or finished within 10 points of the champion in six of the last nine years. Virginia has also finished in the top 3 in 8 of the last 9 ACC Championships.
