CHARLOTTESVILLE, Va. – The No. 7 Virginia rowing team returns to action at the highly-competitive Pac-12 Invite on Saturday-Sunday (April 1-2) in Redwood Shores, Calif.

The two-day event will feature morning and afternoon racing on Saturday as well as morning racing on Sunday. The Cavaliers will have three crews (Varsity Eight, Varsity Four and Second Varsity Eight) competing in three sessions over the two days.

On Saturday (April 1), Virginia will race NCAA defending champion and top-ranked Cal at 12:20 p.m. ET and No. 10 Stanford at 6:20 p.m. ET. Stanford finished fourth at the NCAA championships last season.

The Cavaliers will close out the regatta against No. 4 Washington on Sunday (April 2) at 12:20 p.m. ET. The Huskies placed fifth nationally last season.

UVA opened the 2017 spring season on March 11-12 by winning 14 of 18 races at the Oak Ridge Cardinal Invite on Melton Hill Lake in Oak Ridge, Tenn.
